Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Ann Arbor is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Ann Arbor follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. An Ann Arbor classic! Been ordering from here for a decade and it's always been great with reasonable prices. The soups and hotdogs are excellent; try their arepas for something unique!

Let me tell you this spot is a go to hidden gem!! The soups are amazing for winter especially the chicken tortillaโ€ฆ but the star of the show AREPAS. This was my first time trying an arepa and let me tell you EVERYONE needs to try one. My favorite is the chicken I go and order almost everyday. I mean just fantastic!! The staff is just perfect. Fast, intelligent, and kind people that you can tell they care about your food and experience. Please give this a try!!!!

Arepas! Arepas!! Arepas!!! Today I tried the Pabellรณn arepa for the first time. It's the best thing I've had in Ann Arbor in a long while. The shredded beef, beans, cheese, and plantain inside were tremendous. The flavors all complement one another. It's also a meal - I saved my soup for later! We also love the Tortilla soup at Le Dog, as well as the chili dogs. Great spot to grab a quick meal - and all the ladies working there are so nice and well-organized. One of the best spots in Ann Arbor.

I work in downtown Ann Arbor, and have been coming to Le Dog/La Soup for years. I have enjoyed every dog and every soup I have gotten from them. Their primary offering is a great rotating selection of unique soups (several vegetarian/vegan options), but they also have standard hot dogs + turkey franks + polish sausage with some topping options. Pricing is reasonable - the soups are well worth the cost. There is no dedicated seating, but they do have a small bar/counter where you can stand and eat. If you are in Ann Arbor and looking for a quick and easy lunch, I highly recommend Le Dog. They are great year-round, but especially during the cold winter months!

Excellent spot for takeout. It gets pretty busy during the winter, but itโ€™s definitely worth the wait. I really like that they rotate the menu. I usually go for the chicken tortilla soup, which is a must-try, but today I decided to try โ€œGuiso de Fideo Moรฑitoโ€and it was really good. The Polish sausage is also excellent.
